Moving to a new office does not mean that you would not need the old office appliances any more. Before relocating your office you should plan out carefully what appliances you will continue using. Preparation for the packing of appliances is also significant in the office moving process. Office appliances can be divided into two main categories: Major and Small appliances. The packing of both types of appliances will be a bit different because of the sizes.
Packing Major Office Appliances
As mentioned before, preparation of packing is quite important when moving with major appliances. You can prepare for packing with the help of some expert moving company. Get an appointment with a moving company representative who can advise you on packing and moving of the major office appliances.
Due to the sizes of the appliances you might have to take the option of shipping them separately and moving company representative will guide and help you in preparing the appliances for shipment. If you have an agent in this moving process then you can ask them to appoint someone to oversee the shipment of the appliances.
Packing Small Office Appliances
Since these office appliances are smaller, they can easily fit in a box or a carton. The right way of packing such appliances is by wrapping them in packing paper or a cloth individually and then placing them together in one box. You can also use bubble wrap for packing and wrapping. Appliances of similar nature should be in the same box for sorting purposes.
If there are any cords with the appliances then wrap them as well or cover them in plastic sheet so they do not scratch anything.
Once the small office appliances are packed in boxes, fill the empty spaces in the boxes with foam or packing paper for added protection.
